Biography
Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy, Michael Pahoff is a leading sports physiotherapist who boasts an impressive record of involvement with major league teams, clubs and sporting tours. These include serving as team physiotherapist for the Queensland State of Origin rugby league teams in the early 1990s; medical services coordinator and manager of the British Olympic Association for their pre-Olympic training camps in the lead-up to the Sydney 2000 games; and sports medicine convenor of the Australian University Games in 2005. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Mr Pahoff has combined clinical physiotherapy practice with tertiary-level teaching and a grassroots commitment to local community sport. He joined Bond's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine in 2004 and, with Dr Elizabeth Gass, was responsible for designing Australia's first entry-level Doctor of Physiotherapy degree. Michael Pahoff was honoured for his input into club-level sport on the Gold Coast with the McPherson Community Contribution Award in 2004.
