Biography
Peter began worklife in retail, agriculture and construction. Therafter he trained as a teacher and taught primary school (1963); secondary school (Humanities and Social Sciences. Head of Department (1970) and transferred to Teacher Education (tertiary) in 1975 where he retired from the Faculty of Education at Griffith University (Brisbane) in 1997, as Senior Lecturer and Head of Program (Adult and Vocational Education). He travelled and wrote books for the next 8 years before being invited to teach Intercultural Communication at Bond University. His first degree- a B.A. was in German, Politics and Government. His second was a B.Ed.Studs. in Educational Psychology and Comparative Education. Then followed a Masters in Ed. Administration in organizational psychology and sociology. In the late 1970�s he completed a Masters (Honours) in Education in Adult Learning, Research Methods and Cross-Cultural Psychology with a thesis on the subject, Conceptualising intercultural effectiveness: Outstanding Practitioners� Concepts and Theories and Implications for Intercultural Workers.
