Biography
Steven Goodman has over 30 years experience in international M&A and corporate transactions as a solicitor with major international law firms and as general counsel and director for public companies in London, the USA and Asia. He has advised on numerous large and high-profile international transactions. He started in the City of London, New York and Brussels with Berwin Leighton, where he became a partner. He moved as a partner to Dentons in London, and was head of its worldwide corporate group and a management board member. He then moved to Hong Kong to become Senior Partner Asia and HK office head, before becoming a partner with Jones Day in HK and regional coordinator of its Asia Public M&A practice. He was named a 'Leading Individual-Corporate/M&A' and an Asia-Pacific 'Hot 100' lawyer in legal publications. He has been a director for listed companies on 5 different stock exchanges and on 4 IPO's and has been Executive Chairman, CEO and Group Legal Counsel for a London listed company with operations worldwide. He was the Programme Director for the Nanyang Fellows MBA Programme at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently a non-executive Director of Chailease Holding Corp, an Asian leasing company listed in Taiwan, and is also Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and on the Audit Committee. He is also a Director and CEO of Teras Group Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based litigation funding business.
