Biography
Carol is an epidemiologist at Burnet and manages the HIV/AIDS surveillance register on behalf of the Victorian Department of Health. She is also responsible for the ongoing analysis and dissemination of HIV epidemiological data. Managing the sentinel surveillance of BBVs and STIs in Victoria, designed to capture testing and behavioural data from priority groups such as men who have sex with men and young heterosexuals testing for HIV, chlamydia, syphilis and hepatitis C, Carol has been involved with several evaluation projects. An evaluation of health promotion for sex workers funded by the Western Australian Department of Health was one of her recent projects. Carol also has extensive experience in managing large epidemiological datasets.
