Biography
Caroline is an Epidemiologist and PhD Candidate. Her research interests involve the interplay between disease, population and methods. Primary diseases of interest are sexually transmitted infections (STIs, including gonorrhoea, chlamydia, HIV and syphilis) and blood borne viruses (BBVs, including hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus).
Research Interest
Caroline’s methodological areas of interest include communicable disease surveillance systems and epidemiological surveys. Her current research is primarily concerned with identifying strategies to improve screening rates for STIs and BBVs in general practice, thereby improving surveillance data. Caroline’s research interests extend from Australia to internationally, and she has led several epidemiological studies in the Asia/Pacific region.
