Biography
Dr Than is a medical doctor with a double masters degree in tropical diseases and social science research. A career teacher and researcher she specialises in maternal and child health, and young people’s health, research with emphasis on poor and vulnerable populations. A three-time winner of the Best Paper award for Health Systems Research by the Ministry of Health in Myanmar, she has also been involved in more than 20 research projects as a principal investigator and has published more than 15 research articles.
Research Interest
Her main interest is to help poor and vulnerable populations through evidence-based policy research.
