Biography
Fr McNamara, a Vincentian priest and moral theologian, is parish priest of St Joseph’s Malvern and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Moral and Practical Theology at Catholic Theological College, MCD University of Divinity, Melbourne. He has lectured at St Francis Xavier Seminary, Adelaide College of Divinity, Flinders University and the Catholic Institute of Sydney. Fr McNamara is a graduate of the Gregorian University, Rome, and Oxford University, England and he has a doctorate from the University of Adelaide. He was Deputy President of the Catholic Institute of Sydney and President of the Catholic Moral Theology Association of Australia and New Zealand and has served as a member of human research ethics committees for health and public sector organisations.
