Biography
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Tardugno’s career has been focused exclusively in healthcare, with 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Mr. Tardugno was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Celsion on January 3, 2007, and was elected to the Board of Directors on January 22, 2007. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Tardugno served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mylan Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Mylan Laboratories, a transdermal drug company. He was a founding member of management of Songbird Hearing, Inc., a privately held startup, and held the positions of Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Senior Vice President of Technology Development and Manufacturing for Bausch & Lomb. Mr. Tardugno began his career in 1977 with Abbott Laboratories, where he held positions in pharmaceutical operations. Mr. Tardugno holds a BS in Biology from St. Bonaventure University and completed the Harvard Business School executive program.
