Biography
Chris is the CEO of Ceramisphere Pty Ltd, an Australian company based on the sol-gel encapsulation of actives inside biodegradable silica particle. Chris received his BSc from the Université Pierre & Marie Curie in Paris and a PhD in Materials Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He has over 20 years of experience, spanning 3 continents, in developing and commercialising new technologies and materials for a wide range of commercial applications including high temperature superconductors, blue-lasers, biosensors, solar cells and drug delivery. Having gained experience at world-class R&D organisations such as Dupont Central Research, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology (ANSTO), he has been leading innovation at Ceramisphere for the last 7 years. His current focus is to commercialize and expand Ceramisphere’s proprietary encapsulation and controlled release technology for both, industrial and healthcare based applications.
