Biography
Director of Professional Experience and Senior Lecturer in Education Dr Buckworth has over 30 years in the education sector and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Education at Charles Darwin University. Her experience spans classroom and specialist teaching and leadership roles in schools. Since joining CDU, Dr Buckworth’s teaching focussed responsibilities have extended to unit and course coordination and management of initial teacher education placements, during which time she has also fostered and maintained partnerships with stakeholders. As Director of Professional Experience, Dr Buckworth brings vital insights and input into course design for undergraduate and postgraduate learners. Dr Buckworth’s doctoral study explored Professional Experience in teacher education. Publications from this research highlight opportunities for strengthening relationships and supporting student experience as well as furthering insights into the changing demands of the teaching profession.
Research Interest
