Biography
Mal Flack is Lecture in Psychology at Charles Darwin University. Mal developed an innovative gambling expectancies model to examine gambling behaviour. Of particular interest to my research was whether the perceived emotional benefits from gambling could be differentiated from the expected financial outcomes (i.e., winning money). More generally, my research interests are in the way individual differences, personal beliefs, and social influences can be used to explain some of the complexities in understanding human behaviour.
