Biography
Amanda began her career as a generalist nurse in various metropolitan and rural hospitals in NSW. In the late eighties, she moved overseas and worked in a variety of hospitals in Northern England. On return to Australia she complete further studies and commenced her career in higher education. She has held the position of nurse academic since 2000. During this time she has taught a variety of subjects within the Bachelor of Nursing. Her teaching experience extends internationally when in 2005 and 2007, she was seconded to Ajisai Nursing College, Minokamo, Japan to teach undergraduate nursing students.As well as teaching a number of subjects across the BN curriculum, she has also held a number of leadership roles within the School, including Course Coordination, Academic Advisor and Student Engagement Academic. She has a keen interest in research, with current interests focusing on nurse education and legal aspects of applied nursing.
