Biography
Ann's doctoral dissertation was concerned with moral distress in community service workers. The ethical dimensions of work, and the stresses related to compromise particularly in altruistic professions, are the focus of her teaching, writing and research. She is a health sociologist and bio medical ethicist teaching in the Bachelor of Clinical Practice (Paramedic) at Bathurst. Her teaching also focuses on professional, ethical and social dimensions of allied health fields of practice. She has been teaching in tertiary institutions since 2003. Prior to that she spent 16 years as a manager of community service organisations, largely involved in the development of education and other humanitarian resources in remote parts of the world. She taught in TAFE, community colleges and international seminaries throughout that time.
