Biography
Brett has over a decade of experience in the media as a producer of programs and a marketer of media organisations. Prior to becoming an academic Brett ran his own communication consultancy "Media Allsorts" which provided both creative and strategic services to clients. Brett has been a member of the advertising teaching staff at CSU since 1998. In 2002 he was the recipient of the global IAA Harrison Award for excellence in teaching and has received two ALTC Citations for outstanding contribution to student learning in 2008 & 2010. In 2004 Brett co-authored his first book titled "Advertising Ethics", through Pearson Ed publications, New York and has research interests in "professional and practice-based learning" practices and the role of intimate communication tactics – such as podcasting – as an education tool. Brett is the Course Director for the Communication programs within the School of Communication and Creative industries.
