Biography
I have been teaching at CSU since 1998 in casual, part time and fulltime capacities. I have been based at the Dubbo campus since 2002. I have 3 adult children and have undertaken study through both the hospital and tertiary systems in on campus and online modes. I have worked in both QLD and NSW with the health services, private schools and I have been employed with Universities in both these states. My specialty areas are Midwifery and Child and Family Health nursing. I have worked in all facets of these areas, both hospital based and community. I have worked in school health and have worked at private schools as a school health nurse. I have also worked on the Tresillian helpline which was a challenge at times. I still practice as a casual community midwife with NSW Health. I am a registered Nurse, a registered Midwife and hold a Graduate Certificate in Child, Adolescent Health and a Master of Health Science (Nursing) degree I am the student engagement academic at the Dubbo campus and teach into the Bachelor of Nursing (BN) course. I coordinate BN subjects and teach across all years of the BN course.
