Biography
Celia was a full-time lecturer at the university for 19 years and has been working as the Acting Course Director for the B.Ed. (EC&P), B.Ed. (Birth to Five), and B.Teach (Birth to Five) during 2017. Prior to lecturing at the university she had extensive experience in a number of early childhood settings. She was the Manager of Children's Services for a large council which involved managing a Family Day Care Scheme, OOSH services, long day care services and preschools. She served on the executive of Family Day Care for a number of years. As well has having a wealth of experience, Celia has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood with her thesis concentrating on staff relationships and leadership within the early childhood profession in Australia. She has visited England, Turkey, Sweden and Denmark reviewing early childhood services and presented at several conferences discussing childcare arrangements in different countries.
