Biography
Dr Parissi is married with three great kids, loves gardening, cooking, reading historical, political, science fiction and environmental material. Dr Parissi really enjoys being stimulated and challenged by engaging with the learning of students. He joined CSU in 2012 after ten years lecturing at UWS in environmental health and management and also tutoring at the Campbelltown Medical School. A Post Doctoral research project at UWS was concurrent with a stint lecturing at Macquarie University. Dr Parissi primarily has experience in qualitative research methods and analysis of data, which comprises one of the approaches employed in his various research projects. His research experience includes post-doctoral research as well as other research projects, including publications from several research studies. Methodologies in his research include case study, ethnography, action research, and grounded theory. He has gathered data for research projects via surveys, focus groups, participant observation, document analysis, and interviews. In addition, he has taught research methods, and supervised undergraduate, masters, and PhD students who have undertaken primary research projects during the past six years.
