Biography
He was the Head of School of Communication and Creative Industries from 2013 until his appointment as Head of Bathurst Campus in 2016. Prior to coming to CSU he was the Founding Head of Media at the University of Adelaide. He also worked as Head of Mass Communication at Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia. He is a global cultural fruit salad with roots in almost every continent. He is a recipient of the Leslie Cyberdisciplinarity Fellowships at Dartmouth in the US and was a Visiting Professor in Theatre and Mass Communication at Benue State University in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Governor's Leadership Foundation of South Australia and is on the International Council of the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR). He chairs the Committee for the Improvement of Academic Life (CIAL) a particularly important committee which deals with academic labour conditions and rights, freedom of expression, liaising with human rights organisations and related organisations at regional, local, national and international level. http://iamcr.org/academic_life_committee.
