Dr Sameer Pant

Biography

Sam has been employed as a Lecturer in Animal Genetics with CSU since May 2015. He graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from India, and later pursued a doctoral degree in Bovine Immunogenomics at the Department of Animal and Poultry Science, University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Medical Genetics, University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada) for over two years; and also worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Veterinary Clinical and Animal Sciences, University of Copenhagen (Denmark) for another two years before moving to Australia.

Genetics underlying increased resistance/susceptibility to cattle diseases (particularly mastitis and paratuberculosis), Genetics underlying variation in ovine stress responses
