Biography
Dr Moroni graduated with a BSc Agric. (Plant Science) degree from the University of Alberta, Canada, before completing a MSc and then a PhD in Plant Breeding, also at the University of Alberta. On completing his PhD Dr. Moroni was appointed to NSW Agriculture (now NSW DPI) as a Research Agronomist, focusing on crop germplasm tolerant to soils with subsurface acidity. This involved the identification and characterization of canola tolerant to high manganese as well as, wheat, barley and canola germplasm resistant to aluminium.
