Biography
CSU Sessional Lecturer and Principal Psychologist at EQ Psychology, Elena Hey has almost 20 years experience working in the education and health sectors as a teacher, researcher and counselling psychologist. Elena is a registered psychologist and full member of the Australian Psychological Society. Elena has clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, grief / loss issues, adjustment disorders, and trauma related conditions. In particular, Elena has extensive experience in working with adolescents and young adults, and she specialises in the assessment and treatment of young people with trauma and stress-related disorders, Adjustment Disorder, and behavioural and social problems. Elena has experience in working with clients from a range of social and cultural backgrounds, including indigenous clients. Elena is also qualified in the provision of forensic mental health services, with experience in providing assessment and therapy for clients facing criminal charges, or with a history of criminal behaviour, who require clinical support with emotional or psychological issues.
