Biography
Gerard Moore is Associate Head of School and lectures in worship and practical theology at United Theological College, a partner in the School of Theology of Charles Sturt University. He holds a doctorate in theology from the Catholic University of America, Washington DC, and has published extensively. He has been a consultant to the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL), and contributed to a number of national liturgical bodies, both ecumenical and within the Roman Catholic tradition, including the Australian Consultation on Liturgy (ACOL). He has been a member of the management team for two federally funded projects, Uncovering Theology (Charles Sherlock, 2009) and Transforming Theology (Les Ball, 2012). His most recent publications include a book on the eucharistic practices of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) tradition, The Disciples at the Lord's Table: Prayers over Bread and Cup across 150 years of Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Worship, Pickwick Publications (Eugene: Wipf and Stock, 2015), and an article on worship and justice: "Let Justice Find a Voice: Reflections on the relationship between worship and justice", Worship 90 (May 2016) 206-224.
