Biography
Hedy worked in various roles at Charles Sturt University from 2003-2017 as a Manager in organisational development, culture and change management, leadership development, equity and diversity. She has been lecturing in leadership as a sessional in the School since 2014. In 2015 and 2017 Hedy has coordinated the CSU Leadership for Women Program. In 2016 she received her Doctor of Communication. Her doctoral thesis focused on the role of an internal organisational change facilitator. When she is not lecturing, Hedy volunteers as the Chair of Rahamim Ecology Centre in Bathurst. She also facilitates workshops and evaluation of not for profit organisations in cultural change, strategy and governance. She also co-facilitates a facilitative leadership program training leaders in facilitation skills across Australia. Before coming to CSU Hedy worked in natural resource management agencies at the state and national level coordinating exotic disease preparedness training and mock exercises; conducting research into vertebrate pest control; coordinating catchment management programs; and the establishment of the Australian Wildlife Health Network in 2002.
