Biography
Jamie Holcombe is a Senior Lecturer in Photography & Digital Imaging at CSU, and the Photography Discipline Leader. He has a PhD in Fine Art Photography and has extensive experience as a university academic, having worked at several universities. He also has a degree in Visual Arts (Photography Major) from Sydney College of the Arts (Sydney University), and completed postgraduate studies in Art/Photography at the University of Newcastle. He has presented academic papers nationally and internationally, which have been published in significant peer-reviewed journals, such as the International Journal of the Image. Jamie is an established regional artist, and has an extensive track record of successful solo and group exhibitions, both as an exhibitor and a curator. He has been a finalist in numerous national awards, most recently including the MAMA National Photography Prize, The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Awards, and his work is held in numerous public and private collections.
