Jasmine Seng

Biography

Dr Jasmine Seng K. P. received her PhD and BEng (1st Class Honours) degrees from the School of Engineering, University of Tasmania in Australia. She is currently the Adjunct Professor in the School of Computing & Mathematics at Charles Sturt University. She is also holding a position of Machine Learning Analytics Specialist at National Wine and Grape Industry Centre (NWGIC). Before joining CSU in 2016, she was the Adjunct Professor in the School of Engineering at Edith Cowan University in Australia and Sunway University in overseas. She has more than 15 years substantial academic experience in Australian–based and UK–based universities. Her previous academic experiences include being Professor and Head of Department at Sunway University (affiliated with Lancaster University UK). She was the Chair of Faculty (Science & Technology) Higher Degree Committee and Director of the research centre called Affective and Assistive Technologies (AAT) in Sunway University. She was previously employed by Monash University and Nottingham University. She was an Associate Professor, Head of Assessment and School Examiner officer at Nottingham University. Her research strengths include multimedia/multimodal processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, pervasive/ubiquitous computing, affective computing and intelligent systems. She also has a strong interest on research activities on multimodal analytics of Big Data, multimedia IoT, intelligent processing techniques, sensing and systems for Viticulture.
