Biography
Leanne is an experienced clinical psychologist who was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology in 2014. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the University of Sydney, and a PhD from the School of Medicine at the University of Western Sydney. Leanne is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. The majority of Leanne's clinical psychology career has been in the field of adult mental health, where she has specialised in the treatment of adults suffering from the spectrum of trauma-related disorders. She has worked in the public, private and corporate health sectors, delivering both individual and group therapies, and has been involved in service development, delivery and evaluation, as well as the provision of clinical supervision. Leanne has presented numerous training programs and workshops across Australia, on behalf of the Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health, Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne, the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia and the Department of Veterans' Affairs. She has also presented at several of national and international conferences.
