Biography
In 2008 I joined CSU's School of Education to teach the science curriculum method subjects in the Bachelor of Education (Primary) course. Prior to my appointment to Charles Sturt University, I held various teaching and curriculum support / advisory positions with NSWDET, Education Queensland and the NT Department of Education. In my 20+ years in schools (urban, regional and remote) and in Environmental Education Centres, I have taught students of all year levels - Kinder to Year 12 and held the positions of Coordinator, Advanced Skills Teacher, Project Officer (Educational Adviser), Head of Department and Principal (Acting). Although my original discipline area was Science (Chemistry and Biology) I have since broadened my teaching areas through my Masters of Education studies to include Environmental and Social Education and studies in adult learning and professional development.
