Peter Simmons

Biography

Peter is the Acting Associate Dean, Research and Associate Professor in Communication Research and Associate Head of SCCI in Bathurst. He lectures in organisational communication and public relations. He has also taught organisational communication in the UK and Singapore. Before joining CSU Peter specialised in organisational communication and strategic change management. He worked in advertising, media and government relations, employee communication, strategic planning and management, and public information campaigns.

Research Interest

Communication management for organisations. Ways that people perceive fairness and legitimacy in professionals and organisations. Ways that community sentiment can be integrated in policy and decision processes.  Communication to support coexistence between humans and other species.
