Biography
Prue Gonzalez is a lecturer with the School of Environmental Sciences at Charles Sturt University. Prue's primary areas of teaching focus on preparing reflective and ethical professionals to work in the complex and changing field of the environmental sciences. Prior to working with Charles Sturt University, Prue has explored many different working environments before finding a passion for research. Prue completed her Ph.D. in Heritage and Conservation in 2009. Her academic research explored the role of mobility as a critical agent in the development of rural Australia, while also recognising the role of 'invisible' people and cultures in the early 19th and 20th centuries.
Research Interest
Prue's current teaching and research interests are broad, including sustainable development, environmental communication, social aspects of environmental management, cultural heritage management, outdoor recreation and tourism and the critical role of student transition into and from tertiary education.
