Biography
After graduating in Dentistry in 1966, Professor Bryant became a full time tutor in the Department of Operative Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 1966 and since this time his teaching positions have included lecturing for several years at University of Birmingham, UK, and undertaking research as a Research Scholar and Visiting Associate Professor at Portland, Oregon in USA. After several years in general practice dentistry in UK, he returned to Univ Sydney as Lecturer in 1974. He subsequently held positions of Senior Lecturer and A/Professor. Since 1992 Professor Bryant has been a full time Professor of Conservative Dentistry, Head of Department of Operative Dentistry (1989 to 1993), Head of the Discipline of Tooth Conservation until 2009, Sub-Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, Associate Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Acting Head of Discipline of Endodontics and Acting Head of Discipline of Fixed Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. In addition, Professor Bryant continues to work part-time in a general dental practice in Sydney. He is widely published and been awarded with many teaching and professional accolades.
