Biography
I was raised in a small town in rural NSW before moving to study a Bachelor of Nursing at CSU Wagga Wagga campus. After which I moved interstate and worked in both general and mental health nursing fields, in community and hospital environments and within rural and metropolitan settings. Whilst I was working interstate I completed Graduate Certificate of Mental Health Nursing and Graduate Diploma of Mental Health Nursing through Deakin University. On moving back to NSW I accepted a position as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and then Clinical Nurse Consultant both within the field of mental health, whilst completing a Master of Nursing Practice at Deakin University. Whilst working as a Clinical Nurse Consultant I accepted a casual position within the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health on the Wagga Wagga and Albury campuses before accepting a full time position as Lecturer in Nursing/Mental Health at Wagga Wagga campus working between the nursing and Djirruwang programs.
