Biography
Shane is an experienced veterinary pathologist with particular interests in invertebrate, fish, reptile, avian pathology and microbiology. With extensive research and teaching experience at the University of Sydney and Murdoch University he has co-authored with 21 post-graduate students over 200 scientific publications on a wide variety of animal health topics. This has included more than 100 peer reviewed publications, 6 books and book chapters and over 90 scientific reports, conference publications and other articles involving more than 100 collaborators throughout Australia, USA, New Zealand, Europe and Asia. This has been supported by $2 million in research grants. He is active in a number of editorial boards for international journals as well as professional organisations and scholarly networks including the Veterinary Information Network.
