Biography
Sharanne has worked in private equine practice, university clinics, research and teaching. She completed a residency and Masters in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the University of Queensland and a PhD (the University of Sydney) in microbiology and respiratory immunology, investigating the role of physical factors in the development of pleuropneumonia in horses. Upon completion of her PhD, Sharanne travelled to Perth where she worked in equine private and university practice for 7 years, before accepting a post-doctoral position at Murdoch University. At Murdoch University and CSU, Sharanne has contributed to teaching in veterinary physiology, equine medicine and problem-based learning. She currently co-ordinates the final year (clinical) component of the veterinary program at CSU and contributes to Animal and Equine Science courses.
