Biography
I was educated in the United Kingdom (Universities of Birmingham, Stirling and Manchester). After completing my PhD I travelled for a while before commencing work in academia in 2000. Whilst at The University of Central Lancashire (UK) I taught and supervised research at both undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc, PhD) levels. I am a registered Psychologist in Australia and the UK, as well as a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). I have facilitated various eating disorder self-help recovery groups for sufferers and carers since 1995 in both the UK and Australia. I joined Charles Sturt University in 2007 and have since taught a variety of subjects as well as supervised students to MPsych and DPsych levels.
