Biography
Tahmid Nayeem completed his PhD in the area of Consumer Behaviour at Swinburne University. He has an Honours degree in Marketing and an MBA from Schiller International University (SIU), UK. Prior to joining Charles Sturt University, Tahmid gained more than 12 years' teaching experience in the UK, Australia and Singapore. He has experience in various teaching modes such as face to face (internal), distance education, blended learning and flipped classroom environment. He was a Lecturer in Marketing at Swinburne University and a coordinator of the undergraduate program at Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT). Tahmid's area of specialisation is Consumer Research. He has taught in a range of postgraduate and undergraduate subjects in Marketing including Contemporary Applied Marketing, Marketing Concepts, Consumer Behaviour, Strategic Business Research, Integrated Marketing Communication, Innovation Management and Services Marketing. He was awarded an Outstanding Teaching Performance Award from London Guildhall University. Tahmid's industry experience includes working at British Petroleum (BP) as a Market Research Analyst, where he designed and conducted several research projects, and as a marketing executive in the UK media industry. Tahmid's research has been published in several academic journals such as Marketing Intelligence and Planning (MIP), Australasian Marketing Journal (AMJ), The International Review of Retail, and Distribution and Consumer Research (IRRDCR), among others.
