Biography
Nicos is currently in-charge of the International activities of SigmaPharm Laboratories, LLC, (Philadelphia, PA, USA), a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company, engaged in the development, manufacturing and marketing of unique generic and branded products. Previously, he served at the Business Development of Elpen Pharmaceutical Group. He was responsible for: In-Licensing of late stage prototype Pharmaceutical Products, Search and Evaluation of Innovative Pharmaceutical Products and Platform Technologies, Project Management of external R&D projects, Group’s Strategy and Collaborations with Research Institutions. Before Elpen he worked for Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Biotechnology company focusing on drugs for orphan diseases, where he held the position of Marketing Director in the Greek Affiliate. Nicos acted as Scientific Advisor to Panhellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (PEF) and to Charamida Investment Group. He was active member in two working groups of Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE): Substantiation Committee for Innovative Medicines and Secretariat on Research and Biotechnological Medicinal Products. He has been invited speaker and panelist in many local and international congresses and workshops in the area of Pharmaceutical sciences.
