Biography
David joined the e-Services Integration (eSI) group at CSIRO in 2004 to develop semantic data and web service workflow composition technologies for the Wedgetail (DFDMSA) and Boeing (EDKMS) projects.During 2005 to 2010, David focused on further applying semantic technologies to workflow composition and validation, ontology-driven data exchange, virtualisation and ontology engineering in the area of water data management under the Water Information Research and Development Alliance (WIRADA).David has since joined the Language and Social Computing team of Decision Sciences, Data61, to undertake applied research in data mining, machine learning, information retrieval and knowledge extraction.David's PhD studies were focused on machine learning in OWL/DL knowledge bases and culminated in the development of the OWL-Miner tool suite for inducing OWL classes over rich RDF data sets.Semantic Web Science
