Curt R. Hartman

Biography

 Mr. Curt R. Hartman has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of CONMED Corporation since November 2014. Mr. Hartman served as an Interim Chief Executive Officer at CONMED Corporation from July 2014 to November 2014. He served as an Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer at Stryker Corporation since October 1, 2012. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Stryker Corp. from April 1, 2009 to September 30, 2012 and also served as its Vice President until September 30, 2012. He also served as an Interim Chief Executive Officer of Stryker Corp. from February 8, 2012 to September 30, 2012. He served as Vice President of Finance at Stryker Corp., since December 1, 2008. Mr. Hartman is an 18-year veteran of Stryker with experience in numerous functional areas and he has skillfully led the Instruments business since 2000. He served as Global President of Instruments division of Stryker Corp., since November 10 , 2008. He served as Co-Principal Financial Officer of Stryker Corp. He served as President of Stryker Global Instruments since 2006 and President of Stryker Instruments since 2003. He initially joined Stryker in 1990 as a Manufacturing Engineer and served as Unit Supervisor, Production Unit Manager, Director of Information Technology, National Accounts Director. He worked Stryker Corp. from 1990 to February 2013 and held several functional leadership roles at Stryker Instruments. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Stryker Instruments since 1999. Over the past thirteen years, Mr. McKinney has held financial leadership roles at the corporate, division and group levels in the U.S. and Asia. Mr. Hartman served as Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer for Stryker's International Group. Prior to joining Stryker he served in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot. He has been a Director of CONMED Corporation since March 1, 2014 and Veran Medical Technologies, Inc., since November 2013. He served as a Director of Alere Inc. (formerly, Inverness Medical Innovations Inc.) since August 7, 2013. Mr. Hartman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and holds a Harvard AMP Program Certificate from Harvard Business School and has completed the Stryker Advanced Leadership Program at Harvard Business School
