Dirk M. Kuyper

Biography

 Mr. Dirk M. Kuyper served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of IlluminOss Medical, Inc. since April 2013. Mr. Kuyper served as the President of Global Commercial Operations at Alphatec Spine, Inc. and Alphatec Holdings, Inc. from February 28, 2012 to August 7, 2012. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Alphatec Holdings, Inc. from June 2007 to February 2012. Mr. Kuyper served as the President of Aesculap, Inc., a subsidiary of B. Braun Melsungen AG from 2004 to June 2007. From 2001 to 2004, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Alphatec Spine, Inc. since June 2007 until February 28, 2012. Mr. Kuyper served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Aesculap. From 1998 to 2001, he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Aesculap. From 1990 to 1998, he held various sales management positions at Aesculap. He spent 17 years at Aesculap, Inc., a subsidiary of B. Braun Medical Inc., where he also served as a Regional Sales Manager. He has been a Director of CONMED Corporation since July 2013. He served as a Director of Alphatec Spine Inc. since June 2007. He served as a Director of Alphatec Holdings, Inc. from January 2008 to August 7, 2012 and previously served as its Director since June 2007. He achieved the rank of captain in the United States Army. Mr. Kuyper received Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Brown University. He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Miami and an Executive Education Certificate from the Graduate School of Sales and Marketing at Syracuse University.
