Steve Poethke

Biography

Steve Poethke, P.E., serves as a Vice President at Cooper Engineering, managing day-to-day operations, planning, and overseeing structural design projects at the company.  Steve’s responsibilities also include quality management of our projects and supervising the efforts of a portion of the company staff.Steve joined Cooper Engineering in 1993 with 10 years of structural design experience.  His background includes considerable design and construction experience with all materials including timber, steel, and concrete utilizing precast and cast-in-place methods.While at Cooper Engineering, Steve has been responsible for the design of approximately four dozen bridges for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).  Using WisDOT guidelines, he provided concrete culvert design details for a regional precast company, which are used on many WisDOT projects.  Steve also provides for the same company the design specifications of many special precast structures for use on WisDOT and municipal projects.
