Biography
Rebecca is one of the co-founding directors of Coterra Environment and comes from an environmental engineering background with extensive consulting experience in urban water management and hydrology. Rebecca is Chairperson of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (WA) Urban Water Committee, sits on the board and is Chair of New WAter Ways, is the Secretary of the Stormwater Industry Association (WA) and sits on various other technical advisory groups & water steering groups for industry and government, placing her at the forefront of developments in water planning. She has over fifteen years of experience and provides expert advice to large scale residential, commercial and industrial developments as well as extractive resource projects in Western Australia. Rebecca’s experience and technical expertise includes drainage assessments, hydrological and hydrogeological investigations, water quality treatment solutions and urban water reporting components. Primarily finding solution based outcomes for total water cycle management and navigating the State strategic water planning and legislative approval processes. Key areas of expertise include; - Project advocacy and representation to key regulatory authorities. - Strategic water management planning. - Preparation of urban water reports: District Water Management Strategies (DWMS), Local Water Management Strategies (LWMS), Urban Water Management Plans (UWMP). - Stormwater treatment design, water quality management and remedial measures. - Nutrient export modelling and irrigation impact assessments. - Water impact assessments and discharge assessments. - Lake/Dam management and design advice, and approvals. - Water sustainability initiatives: Water recycling and reuse strategies. - Water cycle balance modelling / assessments. - Strategic advice on Perth Drinking Water Supply Areas. - Water monitoring: program design in line with BUWM guidelines & field site work.
