Biography
"Jiaping Wu is a senior lecturer in geography at the School of Education and the Arts since 2010. Prior to coming to CQU, he was a research fellow at University of Melbourne (2008-2010) and Charles Darwin University (2006-2008). Jiaping is a human geographer by training. He completed his Ph.D. at University of South University. His research interests have spanned a range of areas in human-environmental relations, from globalization, migration, urbanization, environmental change to sustainable development. Over the last few years he has conducted research on urban development in northern Australia, environmental change and urbanization including migration of indigenous population (ethnic minorities) in China."
Research Interest
My expertise areas inlcude urban and regional planning, migration and labour market, urban and regional transformation and sustainability. My geographic areas of interest include both Asia and Northern Australia.
