Biography
"Dr Pamela CroftWarcon's Thesis Artsong: the soul beneath my skin explored how visual art can be a site for reconciliation, a tool for healing, an educational experience and a political act. This body of visual narratives arose from piecing together fragmentations of personal and cultural experiences, and incorporated a ‘land-centred’ philosophy and ‘bothways’ methodology to tell an alternative history as an intervention within the white Australian discourse of history. Dr CroftWarcon has a continuous publication record including written articles, creative works and Major Exhibitions both internationally and nationally. Dr CroftWarcon began her employment with the Office of Indigenous Engagement as a casual academic in 2013. She was took up a permanent part-time academic appointment in 2014 and in 2016 her position is within the School of Education and the Arts."
