Biography
I'm a Nurse with many years experience in Intensive Care and Management. Nursing has been good to me and enabled me to travel all over the world, working and studying. I completed Midwifery in Taunton in Somerset in the UK and ICU at Kings College Hospital in London. I worked in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for five and a half years and Jeddah for 14 mths. I was in Riyadh during the Gulf War and my bathroom was the bomb shelter ! I have a BN, a Grad Cert in Management and a Masters in Bioethics. I was Australian of the Year Local Hero in 2006. I was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2007 for services to Nursing. I am new to Academia but I have Co-published several articles, chapters in books and participated in many research articles. I have a passion for patient and staff advocacy and patient safety. I love to learn and have a passion for education and want to help students realise their dreams and aspirations.
