Biography
Fay is the Deputy Dean - Research and Development for Curtin Business School (CBS). She provides leadership and direction to the Higher Degree by Research Unit at Curtin Business School. Fay also chairs the CBS Graduate Studies Committee and represents CBS at the University Graduate Studies Committee. Fay is an agricultural economist and socio-economist with more than 25 years experience in international development in various countries in the Asia-Pacific region. She has vast experience in rural development, gender analysis, food security & poverty reduction, capacity building, community development, participatory action research, improving market access, SMEs, economic modeling & policy analysis and project monitoring and impact evaluation. Fay had been Consultant to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN-FAO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).
