Biography
Honglei Xu is a Node Leader, ATN Industry Doctoral Training Centre at Curtin University. In partnership with the Australian Government, Curtin and four other members of the Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) have launched the ATN Industry Doctoral Training Centre (IDTC) in Mathematics and Statistics in 2012. By connecting PhD students with industry, the IDTC addresses the current critical shortage of industry focused highly trained researchers in mathematical sciences and related disciplines. It is the first doctoral training centre in Australia. The ATN IDTC is based on similar successful programs already in operation in the UK, including Oxford and Cambridge universities.
