Biography
I began my first year of study here at Curtin University in 1995. Originally I was enrolled in a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) degree, however after my first year of study I decided teaching at high school level wasn't what I truly desired. I therefore changed my course of study to a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Computing) degree which I completed in 1998. The following year I did a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics)(Honours) degree. During my honours year I began tutoring for the first time, it was while teaching these tertiary students I discerned that a career as an academic was something that I wanted to pursue. In 2000 I was awarded an APA scholarship and subsequently commenced my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Lou Caccetta. It was in 2003 that I was initially engaged to be a Lecturer in Charge a position that I continued to fill on a casual basis throughout the next 4 years until the end of 2007 when I eventually completed my PhD. Since 2008 until the present time I have been employed at Curtin University as a fulltime lecturer, I'm also the First Year Undergraduate Coordinator within the department.
