James (chong M.) Lau

Biography
James is Professor of Accounting at Curtin Business School. He was previously Professor of Accounting at Macquarie University, Sydney, as well as at The University of Western Australia, Perth. He has extensive experience in industries, public accounting firms and several universities. Professionally, he practised as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Canada. Academically, he has worked in several Australian and overseas universities including three years at Macquarie University and ten years at The University of Western Australia. James was also a Visiting Professor at The University of Paris 1 on two occasions and had also held visiting positions at London School of Economics and INSEAD.
Research Interest
His research areas are in Management Accounting including performance measurement systems.
