Biography
Jo-Anne is Program Director of Actuarial Studies bringing over 20 years of business experience to the actuarial program. She is a fully qualified actuary who applies her strong analytical and modelling capabilities to a variety of projects and has provided evidence-based insights to a range of business decisions. She leverages her wide-ranging experience in educating the next generation of Actuaries. Jo-Anne has advised governments, superannuation funds, industry bodies and private sector employers regarding superannuation and other employee benefits. She has also worked with life insurance companies, undertaking liability evaluations and profit analysis.

Forecasting of employee benefit costs for financial reporting, budgeting and human resource management purposes Advice regarding superannuation and other employee benefits including actuarial reviews monitoring financial position and funding requirements, benefit design, insurance arrangements, legislative change, member communications and workforce planning Peer review of defined benefit superannuation and long service leave liabilities Due diligence regarding employee benefits, including evaluation of liabilities and integration with current benefits for organisations involved in mergers and acquistions Development and review of complex financial models Employee benefit accounting standards (AASB119 and global equivalents)
