Biography
Emeritus Professor Samir Ranjan Chatterjee has been involved in Management education, research and training in the global arena for more than four decades through his academic position at Curtin University in Australia. He has lived and worked in many countries in Asia, Europe, U.K. and USA. During 1994-1995, he lived in Mongolia for a year as a United Nations Adviser in the development of management education in the country. Following the assignment, he worked extensively in Mongolia until 1999 as Director of a number of large capacity building programs funded by the United Nations Development Program. He have been extensively involved in executive education for senior public officials in designing, directing and teaching in programs for Aus-Aid, Asian Development Bank and World Bank in countries like China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. Between 1999-2003 , he was the Co- Director of a Masters Program in International Trade for the senior Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade ( MOFTEC) and an year long intensive program of Human Resource Training for senior officials of the Ministry of Finance ( MOF) on the eve of China’s entry into WTO funded by the Government of Australia.
